How to Determine if a White Wine is DryTo determine the sweetness level of a white whine, whether or not it's dry, you must know how much residual sugar is in the wine after the fermentation process is completed. Wine sellers list the sugar levels of wines using numbers known as the LBCO sugar code, often on the display shelves. If you desire a white wine that is very dry, you will need a bottle listed as a zero. If you are looking for a dry white wine, you are looking for a bottle with a LBCO code of one or two. The higher the number on the LBCO sugar code the sweeter the wine will be.
