Vodka Versus Wine: A discussion on the Rocks
What Are the Differences of Drinking Vodka Over Wine?
When it comes to drinking, all types of wine, liquor, wiskey and beer apply. It all depends on your taste and preference.
Vodka is a liquor that can be used in all sorts of different drinks or it can be served alone at a local bar. It has a flavor of rubbing alcohol and gets smoother and smoother as the price of each brand goes up.
Wine, on the other hand, is a dinner drink. White wine has a fruity flavor and is best served with fish or pasta dishes. Red wine is bitter tasting and compliments meat very well.
When it comes to the differences between the two, ask yourself, "Do I want a party cocktail or a meal time drink?"
Vodka can be served on the rocks, neat or in a variety of mixed drinks. Wine is served in a variety of bar glasses, red wine or white wine glasses or stemless glasses. Vodka is more a party drink, one that you use to have a fun night out on the town. Wines can be ordered at bars, but they do pair well with dinners and more casual atmospheres.
Both wine and vodka are great recreational enhancers. Choose your favorite depending on your mood and the overall feel of the place that you are at. Neither will steer your wrong, but they may leave the room spinning for awhile after the glass is empty. Remember to always drink responsibly and to follow the laws that apply to you. Alcohol can be a dangerous thing.
