Where To Buy Concord Grapes in Ohio

Ohio is known for it's grapes and wines of all kinds. Many that used to visit the vineyards here get a stop in to shop for fruit and Ohiowine.

There are several places to buy concord grapes in Ohio and the grapes in Ohio are ripe between the months of August and October. Concord grapes can be bought at roadside stands, grocery stores, vineyards, farmer's markets, festivals, and at the occasional home stand during these months.

Northern Ohio grows more grapes than other areas of Ohio, because it's location along the shores of Lake Erie has the best weather for growing concord grapes as well as other variety of grapes.

The Lake Erie Islands, off the shores of Sandusky, Ohio, also grows concord grapes. These islands can only be reached by boat, ferry, or plane. They are about a fifteen minute ferry ride off the mainland.

Other parts of Ohio do grow concord grapes, but the majority are grown in the areas closer to Lake Erie.
